Hello Singapore is a news/current affairs program produced by Mediacorp Channel 8, a Singaporean free-to-air television channel.
BAS was invited along with Temasek Polytechnic on this program as it covers the latest interventions in the material handling industry. With the substantial rise in the trend of material handling equipment used in the country, companies have stepped forward to put greater emphasis on their Research & Developments, to introduce sustainable and smart solutions to the market.
Our latest product development, named "DUROXO Lithium-Ion Solutions", incorporates Lithium-Ion Phosphate (LiFePO4) modular battery system, which provides high power density and a longer lifespan. Its BMS (Battery management system) enables voltage, current, and temperature monitoring, SOC/SOH estimation, active balancing, and operation protection to be well integrated into the DUROXO lithium-ion battery management system which provides a smart solution for different materials handling equipment.
DUROXO Lithium-Ion solutions are also equipped with CATL lithium-ion battery modules. Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), the global leader in the development and manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries, with businesses covering R&D, manufacturing, and sales in battery systems for new energy vehicles and energy storage systems.
Our country is accelerating the development of charging facilities to promote the electric vehicle market. However, as the number and usage of electric vehicles increase, some issues may arise, such as the secondary pollution caused by a large number of battery disposals. "Science and Technology Insights" takes you to understand how local researchers are using technology to try to alleviate these issues.
